** Iantumara — Reversible Scoodie **
This pattern combines knitting Fishermen’s Rib and Double-Face. It is worked with two strands of yarn, but you will only work with one yarn per row. I am giving instructions so you can work this as a scarf, cowl or scoodie. The scoodie is constructed so that it does not show a single twist when wearing it—a completely undisturbed snug wrap around one’s head and neck (also true for cowl). It is 100% reversible and works with all kinds of yarns.
Pattern includes
- table of contents,
- schematic,
- written instructions (not all line by line, just first rows),
- charts for pattern repeats in whole width,
- instructions to make this as a scarf, cowl or scoodie,
- photo tutorials illustrating six techniques.
Techniques you will learn (if not already familiar with it)
- provisional cast-on,
- blind seaming,
- invisible grafting,
- particularly beautiful scarf / cowl edging,
- Fishermen’s Rib, and
- Double Knitting (Double-Face Knitting).
Yarns
I have used Garnstudio’s “Big Delight” and Schoeller+Stahl’s “Ronda”.
- Big Delight: I have used “Lava”, but cut out the pink and blue areas.
- Ronda: I have used “Black”, but this yarn is discontinued. Instead you can use, e.g., DROPS Big Merino, Nepal or Alaska, which are even better to be paired with the Big Delight, as they will give you the exact same tension, which is not the case with the Ronda.
