Ice, Baby!

This little pompom hat is gorgeous in a yarn with a metallic strand, as it glistens perfectly for a Winter’s day.

The yarn I used was HobbyKnit Alpine Spark, which technically is listed as DK (light worsted/8ply) but in reality, it works up more like worsted weight (10ply).

The pattern is simple, using just single crochet, half double crochet and chains.

Difficulty: Beginner.

Materials: 1 skein worsted weight yarn (aran/10ply); 4mm hook for 0-3 months, 4.5mm hook for 3-6 months; yarn needle.

Gauge: 12 sts and 16 rows single crochet with 4.5mm hook = 4”
