I have designed a lot of molecule knitting charts over the years, but when someone asked me to design some water molecules I had to take a step back and reimagine the design. I couldn’t do the balls and sticks I’ve been doing since I usually leave hydrogen’s out!

The Ice Cap Headband was designed for the March for Science. As I was knitting up this first aquacessory the name popped into my head. The water molecules on this headband are very ordered and regular, more ice than liquid. The pattern also has instructions if you want to convert the Ice Cap Headband into a fully covered Ice Cap.

There are a number of other water knitting charts on the pattern page so you can adapt your favorite knitting pattern into an aquacessory. I hope you enjoy my latest Science knitting pattern!
