Ice Cream Cone Garland
It’s always a good time for ice cream, which is why we’re loving our knitted Ice Cream Cone Garland. The ice cream cones work up quickly with fingering weight yarn: knit the cone in-the-round, make a pom pom scoop in your favorite flavor, and a small knitted bobble is the cherry on top.
finished size: about 4” tall
yarn: fingering weight yarn in 15 y (14 m) for cone; 50 y (46 m) for pom pom, and 1 y (1 m) for cherry. Sample shown in Ewe Ewe Yarns’ Fluffy Fingering (fingering weight; 200 y/190 m) in Wheat, Vanilla, and Berry.
needles: size US 1 (2.25 mm) double point needles
notions needed:
- Beginning of the round marker
- Stitch Marker
- 2-3” pom pom maker like the Llamalooma Pom Pom Maker
- Small amount of stuffing
- Scrap Yarn
- Darning needle
- Hot glue gun + glue
