This is an easy, meditative knit that you will be able to work on anywhere.

Although it has changed just a little in couple of areas, the 2023 Edition of my (2018) ICE CREAM FUN DAY design, is essentially pretty much the same design wise, & in 2023, a 2nd version was added to the pattern, based on different yarn options I used to rework it.

There’s a slightly smaller fingering weight version, as well as a larger, deliciously luxurious mohair/silk & fingering weight combo - which is an absolute dream to wear.

You need 2 yarns that either complement each other nicely, or boldly contrast for a completely different effect.
I highly recommend speckles paired with solids or tonals, in your choice of fibre. But you are not limited by this.

There are 5 sections in this fun knit, & all are variations of the same 2 stitch patterns - garter stitch & eyelets. Colour placement & choice of yarns & colours, is what contributes to the finished appearance. An I Cord edge is incorporated on one side edge, & an I Cord bind off is worked.

Starting small, 1 st increases near the end of all (except the very last) RS rows, shape an almost perfect triangle, which is very easy to style, & because of the shape of it, this shawl can also be folded & styled as a bandana scarf, or cowl.
