Ice Dancer
Ice Dancer is a loose-fitting, cropped sweater inspired by the casual ice rink fashion of @jvn (on IG) who constantly reminds us to keep improving ourselves and learn something new!
I’m not a monogamous knitter. I always try to have one project that’s intellectually engaging and perhaps teaching me a new skill, and one that I can knit with my eyes closed and mind turned off. Ice Dancer is an eyes closed sweater, but I don’t want to give such projects short shrift. Such meditative crafting is absolutely vital for my mental well-being, and I wanted to make sure this design incorporated details that reflected that self-care aspect of knitting. So, without over-complicating anything, I added a “luxurious lining” to the neck, cuffs and hem of this sweater.
The facings are an optional part of the pattern, but perhaps, like me, you have a skein of a super luxurious yarn lying around waiting for a project. Do yourself a favor and use it for the Ice Dancer sweater. Meditate through all that stockinette, darling. SELF. CARE.
