I created this hat as a quick knit to create a warm dense hat for my sons to wear ice fishing or to keep my husband’s bare head warm on his winter dog walks.

I knit this pattern in a size smaller needle than the yarn recommends, to keep the knitted fabric dense. This keeps the hat nice and warm for the short hair and bare head.

I have kept this pattern free so that it can be used to create nice warm hats for groups who knit for charity.
