Ice is Nice Hat
Ice, ice, and more ice! Mother Nature has delivered a slippery time for us to contend with this winter. As we gingerly make our way around the ice patches, spreading salt and sand for traction, dreaming of springtime when our sleeping gardens will awaken, we remember why we live here. When it “feels like” -15, we remind ourselves how much we love the change of seasons, right? So, ice is nice! We celebrate the beauty of winter with special events and festivals. If you live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul/St. Croix Valley area, a few things are about to get underway – even in the frigid temps. Here are a couple of events to think about.
The Stillwater Ice Castles open today. The Saint Paul Winter Carnival begins January 26th, too! Dress warm and get out there! Ice is Nice!
Here’s a happy worsted weight, slipstitch hat pattern for you to help keep your noggin warm when you toboggan. Instructions included for a “messy bun” or ponytail hat.
Any worsted weight yarn will do. Have fun!
Thank you to Barbara for the laughs and for modeling!
