This pattern utilizes all the little odds and ends of yarn that you end up with as a knitter/crocheter. A pair of ice skates takes approximately 10 yards of any scrap yarn that you have available. Just be certain to match yarn weights (Worsted to worsted, sport to sport) to make the pattern lay flat.
