The Iced Velvet scarf pattern was born from the Iced Velvet Beanie!

The Textured beanie which is worked in the round was easy to translate into this beautiful scarf with just 4 rows to repeat the pattern.

The pretty brim translated into the lovely edge pattern for the scarf as well!

As we are always looking for symmetry in patterns , we decided that this pattern will benefit from starting each side of the scarf on either side of the foundation chain!

The Nako Ombre and Nako Vega yarns are quite similar to work with even though the Nako ombre is marked as bulky.

You could easily substitute any worsted weight (CYC 4) yarn to get similar results.

The scarf also benefits from wet and steam blocking which opens up the V stitches.
