Iceland Gloves
I have used three different shades of Lettlopi Icelandic wool - each ball was 50g. I have added in a second size so as they can be for woman’s large or small/medium man’s hand. If making the larger gloves you will need to have at least 70g of main colour.
With Fair Isle you can choose how many colours to use and these look nice in two colours too!
The gauge is 10cm x 10cm (4inch x 4inch) 23 stitches to 19 rows over the Fair Isle pattern (stranded).
The gloves are knit in the round using three double pin needles size 4.00mm. I used short 20cm length needles though you can knit with longer needles though I advise shorter needles especially when knitting the fingers and thumbs.
The wool is Arran weight and is a little hairy, but lovely and warm.
