This pattern was kept quite verbose to aid beginners so don’t be scared if it seems a lot of work. It’s actually fun making these, I can hardly stop myself!
These will make for perfect Christmas, birthday gifts or just for you.
The size is for adult only.
No gauge can be applied because the hat will be felted.
Instructions for felting are included so you will be sure to make a perfect hat.

Materials for the hat:

• 1 Icelandic plötulopi of your favorite color (or similar wool to felt)
• 8 mm double pointed needles set of four, or circular needles
• 8 mm straight needles
• tapestry needle

Materials for felting:

• pillow case
• head-sized ball
• dish soap
• washing machine
• a pair of old blue-jeans
• (optional) laundry soap bar

Materials for decoration:

• 3 buttons
• sewing needle
• sewing thread
• felting needle
• some unspun wool in a contrasting color
