A traditional Icelandic wool sweater for your wine bottle. They make a great addition when you are giving someone a wine bottle for any occasion, and just look super cute on your shelf at home.

The pattern is for a traditional size wine bottle, but it’s easy to alter the pattern if you have the wine bottle close by. Some wine bottles are tall and skinny, others short and wide.

Tension gauge: 10x10 cm, 18 stitches and 26 rounds on 5mm needles. You may need needle size 4 mm or 4,5 mm instead as this is quite tightly knitted.

You can use any yarn similar to Léttlopi or Plötulopi. For the traditional look is good to have the Icelandic lopi from Istex, but if you don’t have access to it, you can use any similar yarn.

The pattern has 3 different colors, it’s perfect for using leftover yarn as you need very little for the extra two colors.
