Iceni
Iceni is a measure-along pattern with instructions rather than specific rows and stitch counts. I have included information about my gauge, the yarn and hook I used but as this is a measure along you work from your own gauge swatch and do not need to match mine.
Iceni starts with two top bodice parts which will reach from your back, over your shoulder and down over your chest. Stitches are picked up along the ends to make the waistband.
Iceni is essentially 3 decorative rectangles joined together with a tiny bit of shaping for the curvy, some lacing and as little sewing together as possible.
This pattern uses a quintuple treble which is a pain to get looking pretty and even, but it’s worth persevering.
I used dk for one version and aran weight for another.
I’m plus size with a 46” bust to cover and I used around 891 yards (815m) of Cascade Ultra Pima dk.
I used colours Armada (277g, 554m, 605yards),
Blueberry (74g, 148m,162yards),
Coca (41g, 82m, 90yards),
Chipmunk (32g, 64m, 70yards) and
Antique moss (20g, 40m, 44 yards)
The top part took up the most yardage, the waistband used relatively little.
Iceni is a 36 page full colour pattern with links to a printer friendly version and a walk-through photo guide.
