Icicle ice sweater is a bottom up knitted sweater with relaxed sizing and cropped length. Begin round knitting in several kinds of ribs and also start creating gussets on the left and right sides after the hem, continue working to the underarms. Separate the front and back body parts and gussets, knit each with flat knitting for the sleeve’s armhole and neckline, and then use the German Short Row method for the shoulder shaping. After connecting the shoulders, the collar ribbing can be doubled or single.
The entire sweater is cable knit with ribs, and the variety of ribs used creates a very stretchy sweater. The large gusset, the other significant feature, also makes this sweater comfortable to wear.

US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles. US 5 (3.75 mm) one DPN for shoulder seam.

Gauges
-14 stitches x 10 rows to 5.5 cm x 3.5 cm in one repeat of chart A on US 5 needles.
-15 stitches x 32 rows to 4” / 10 cm in chart B on US 5 needles.
-24 stitches 29 rows to 4” / 10 cm in 3 x 3 rib on US 5 needles.
Note: The above is a guideline for swatch knitting. After blocking the sweater, each stitch will be in somewhat different gauge because they would be combined and interfere with each other.

Icicle ice は, ボトムアップで編むクロップド丈のセーターです. 裾のリブから輪で編み始め, リブを終えたら左右の脇にガセットを編み, 脇下まで編み進めます. そこから前後身頃はガセットと分けて各往復編みで肩まで編み進めGerman Short Rowの方法で左右それぞれの肩を形成し, 同時に襟ぐりを形作ります. 両肩を繋いだら, 襟ぐりから目を拾い, ネックリブを編み, ダブルにして綴じます. 襟はお好みでシングル仕様にすることもできます. 袖は, 袖ぐりから目を拾い, 休ませていたガセットと一緒に袖口に向かって編みます.
このセーターは全体にいろいろなリブとそれらを活かしたケーブル編みを使用しているので, とても伸びの良いセーターです. 編み上がりは, リブの特性のままにぎゅっと小さく見えますが, ブロッキングでしっかり伸ばすことで, クロップド丈とバランスの良い広がりになります. もちろん, リブを伸ばさずにブロッキングすれば, フィット感のあるセーターとしても楽しめます. また大きいガセットもこのセーターの特徴で, ガセットによって着心地の良さも楽しめます.

上記はスワッチ編みの目安です. 仕上がったセーターは組み合わさった各パーツのゲージがそれぞれ影響するのでスワッチのゲージとは多少異なります.
