The Icing on the Cake Vest is a pattern designed using Cake Wool Co. Yarn to celebrate the 2024 CakePalooza October event. Hope I see you there!

DETAILS
This is a fun and quick knit using a very simple all over cable stitch all that designed is to mimic the texture of icing on a cake. The “V” shaped neckline is folded and designed for a ribbon or scarf to be passed through for a lovely finishing touch. For this pattern, I’ve held a DK weight yarn with mohair but a heavy DK weight yarn or Worsted would be just fine on its own. There are so many amazing textures and yarn compositions that will all make a wonderful statement. Just be mindful of the gauge. Hope you love knitting this and wearing it too. This is an ideal pattern for a beginner cable knitter.

GAUGE
20 sts & 24 rows for 4”/10 cm on US 8/5.0 mm needles in the cable pattern after wet blocking.
