Iconic is a modern granny square handbag reinforced, lined and with its own hardware (chain and lock etc) so that it is free standing to give it a high end finish. Crochet can only be made by hand and so it’s rare to see crochet or the granny square on the catwalk BUT Iconic has that aspirational vibe.

Begin by making your granny squares, picking your joining method and creating your granny square panels, ready to install your lock. You will then make the reinforcement panels attach the D Rings and then construct your bag.
