ICONIC 2.0 - A GRANNY SQUARE BAG

♡ ABOUT: Iconic is the crochet bag you NEED! I mean, who doesn’t need a granny bag low key statement outfit piece?! Made entirely from crochet (there is no fabric or sewing machine involved) it is fully lined and holds it own shape thanks to the magical reinforcement panels. The addition of the metal hardware make this the bag oh-so-modern yet timeless. Iconic is a head turning little granny addition to your wardrobe.

To make your bag, start by batch making a stack of two round granny squares. The granny squares are then joined using the Continuous Join As You Go Method (CJAYG). Lining pieces are crocheted and sandwiched together to make the reinforcement panels. Simply graft the grannys to the reinforcement panels and then crochet the bag pieces together Add the hardware, clip on the bag strap and, tadahhhh, you have a granny bag!

This patten has been tested.

♡ SKILL LEVEL: If you can make a granny square you can make this.

♡ FINISHED BAG SIZE:  

Width 8.5”
Height 6.5”
Diameter 3”
Crochet handle length 52” (folded in half 26”)

♡ HARDWARE:

• A sheet of Plastic canvas 5 or 6 count
• Magnetic clasp in gunmetal black 14mm
• D rings in gunmetal black 25mm x2
• Store brought handle: gunmetal chain strap 120cm
• For crochet handle: Lobster swivel clasp in gunmetal black 25mm x2
