Idun socks
Idun is a sock featuring a lovely lace pattern that runs along each side of the sock on the entire upper side. The sock
has a well-fitting shadow wrap heel that is incredibly easy to knit. The Idun sock is constructed in such a way that you
can choose to knit a gusset for extra room around the heel.

We’ve knitted the sock in our soft and durable Önling No 18, which consists of 75% wool (non-superwash) and
25% recycled PET (plastic) from bottles. This not only provides exquisite softness but also demonstrates our
commitment to sustainability and recycling. With the Idun socks, you get a fusion of style, comfort, and sustainability
in one product.

Procedure
Idun is knitted from the cuff, down over the heel and
foot, and finishes with a rounded toe. The sock is worked
on a circular needle using the magic loop method, but
you can, of course, use double-pointed needles if you
prefer.

A sock with a shadow wrap heel consists of the following
sections: ribbed cuff, leg, first and second half of the
heel, which are worked with twin and triple stitches, foot,
and toe. For additional room around the heel, you can
choose to knit a small gusset before working the heel.
These stitches are decreased again after the heel.
Idun sock is knitted as both a right and a left sock.
