Idunn dreams of apple trees
It’s the middle of winter and the Norse goddess Idunn is dreaming of apple trees.
The cowl is knitted in the round in two parts. The first lace edge is cast on provisionally and worked from the top down to the bind-off edge. Then the stitches are picked up from the provisional cast-on for the stripes followed by the second lace edge.
Both the lace and stripe patterns are charted.
Width and height can be easily adjusted. Instructions are also provided to mod the cowl to be knit in a single piece.
This pattern has not been test-knitted. Please do get in touch if you find an error!
Idunn dreams of apple trees is part of my series Among the Æsir, a collection of cowls and shawls inspired by the Norse gods and their world.
