Holidays are coming up, and finally there’s time to truly ­enjoy a summer project with just the right level of ­challenge. With Idyll, you will travel through Swedish summer, with four vacation themes and four clues. The shawl is in lace, and will both demand concentration in some parts, and is more ­relaxing in other parts. As a mystery knit-along should, some things will be a little less predictable…

On each date, a new clue will automatically be released in your Ravelry library (or will be sent by e-mail if you purchased a yarn kit from Organic Knitters). When the entire shawl is finished, you will later be able to download the entire pattern as one document.

The dates are adapted to give plenty of time for most to keep up, and in the summer time it’s important to take it easy and enjoy a slower pace!

Size: Two sizes; 210 (290) cm wide after blocking.

Gauge: 21 sts x 26 rows = ca 10 x 10 cm in lace. This is an approximate and varies over the pattern (clue 1 is tighter, clue 2 is looser). If you knit very loosely, pick a smaller needle size.

Needles etc: 4 mm (US 6) circular needle, 80 cm (31”) or longer. ­Optional: 4 mm (US 6) double pointed needles. At least 4 stitch ­markers. Some scrap yarn in a contrast color.

Yarn: Merino d’Arles, 4 skeins (200g), ca ­200 m/50g, alt. ­Dandelion Falkland Fingering, 2 skeins (200g), ca 400 m/100g, ­organicknitters.com.
