If You Bring a Hammer - Sweater
If You Bring a Hammer – Sweater is freely inspired by the 90’s TV series Twin Peaks created by David Lynch and Mark Frost.
The sweater has red, white, and black stripes, and I can’t help but get 90’s nostalgia as soon as I look at it. It is knitted with a rib-like structure which I call the Wheeler Structure. With this structure the sweater doesn’t contract as rib usually does. In this pattern, the sweater is knitted around from the bottom up, while making the stripes. The sleeve stitches are picked up in the armhole and knitted from the top down. The neckline’s stitches are picked up from the neck and knitted in double rib. The sweater has a relatively big positive ease of about 10-13 cm / 4-5”. If you wish for a tighter version, you can choose a smaller size. Be aware that the sweater is getting a little looser after wash.
The sweater can be worn by ANYONE, but the sizes are assessed based on a man’s body.

Wheeler Structure: The Wheeler Structure is the term used for the structure of the sweater. The Wheeler Structure is an easy pattern where you switch between two following rounds:
Row 1: k2, p2 to end of row
Row 2: knit stocking stitch to end of row
Repeat these two rows throughout the entire sweater, unless otherwise is described.
