Igneous Petrology is a wide, shallow shawl that can easily double as a scarf. Knit in a luxurious wool/cashmere/silk sport weight yarn, it makes both a beautiful addition to your wardrobe as well as a warm accessory for the winter months.

Sample is knit in Becoming Art’s Theia Sport and used one skein of variegated and one skein of a coordinating semi-solid (shown in Contrary Wise and Eat Me).

Shawl body is written, while the edging is both written and charted.

Skills needed: wrap and turn short rows, slip stitches, decreases (ssk, k2tog, k3tog, cdd, psso), cables, and yo increases

Igneous Petrology is one of five shawls in the Geologica collection. Patterns may be purchased individually or as part of the whole collection. If you choose to purchase an individual pattern, no credits or discounts will be given on the purchase of the entire collection.

All patterns are available for individual purchase at $5, except Granitoid, which is $3.

The full collection can be purchased for $16. No discounts will be available if you purchase an individual pattern and later wish to purchase the entire collection.
