Igor the Tiny Bat
by Stacey Trock
Bats don’t have to be scary… they can be irresistibly cute! I mean, look at this guy. Cute, right?
Igor is 4” tall with a 10” wingspan when completed with a worsted weight yarn.
To complete your own tiny bat, you’ll need:
- 70 yards of worsted weight yarn (Ella Rae Classic is the yarn used in the sample): Purple (35 yards), Black (30 yards) and White (5 yards)
- A size H (5.0mm) crochet hook (or size required for a nice-looking fabric)
- A tapestry needle
- 12mm black animal eyes
- 1”x1” square of white felt
- craft glue
- Polyester stuffing
Can you single crochet? Then you can make this bat! Skills required:
- single crochet
- increasing
- decreasing
- embroidery
As always, this pattern is a pdf that includes progress photos… so you won’t get lost!
