My friend and I finally went to long-waited Norway, after three years since the pandemic. It was magical, everything seemed what we had dreamt.

One of the main plans was to take a scenic train ride through the mountain. The views were breath-taking, especially the tiny red fruits or flowers in the bright snow hill. Somehow the scene had stayed so strongly in my mind that I researched what it was so healthy and strong at that harsh cold environment when I was back to the US. I couldn’t find the answer, but it is just so beautiful that I decided to use the image to design my pullover!

This project is a part of Maker 2024 programme from Blue Sky Fibers.
Baby Alpaca and silk in SKYLAND give just the right amount of drape and lustrous flow while Highland Wool adds a good structure. It is the perfect yarn for the pullover I had envisioned. I couldn’t be happier.

Welcome to slipped stitch lovers!
Ikariya is worked in slipped stitch all over AND in stranded colourwork for less than eight rows of short row section at the neck line. The high contrast colours are recommended for the best effect of the slipped stitches on the pullover.
It is worked from the top down seamlessly in one piece. Enjoy!
