There are three patterns included - a Christmas tree motif and two opposite leaning holly motifs.

They can be incorporated with any yarn into your own projects.

With DK wool (22st and 30 rows to 10cm/4”) and 4mm needles the Christmas tree motif is approx. 23cm (9”) high and 18cm (7”) wide. The holly motifs are both approx. 20cm (8”) square.

Why not knit them into a sideways knitted Christmas jumper?

Illusion knitting is done in stripes, two rows of background colour alternating with two rows of motif colour. Every first row is knit and every second row is knit and purl.It’s easy!

I have designed my own pattern layout which is simple to follow.

Each pattern is given over two A4 sheets as a colour blocked chart within which purl and knit instructions can be read as in a written pattern.

The patterns can be easily read in black and white if you don’t have a colour printer.
