Ilse sweater är kort, rak tröja med sadelaxel och skorstenskrage. Den stickas uppifrån och ned i slätstickning.

Först läggs det upp maskor för halskragen som stickas runt. Sedan följer förkortade varv i nacken och det börjar ökas för sadelaxlarna. Därefter stickas fram- och bakstycke var för sig för att skapa ärmhålen, varpå de stickas ihop och bålen stickas runt i slätstickning. Den avslutas med vanlig avmaskning (s k överdragshoptagning). Maskor för ärmarna plockas upp runt ärmhålen och stickas runt. Det minskas ett antal gånger för att forma ärmarna och slutligen maskas de av med vanlig avmaskning.

Val av storlek
Ilse sweater är designad för att ha en positive ease på 10-15 cm i de mindre storlekarna och 5-15 cm i de större.

Storlekarna XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) motsvarar ett bystmått på 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm. Välj storlek baserat på ditt bystmått/där du är bredast och hur oversize du vill att tröjan ska vara.

Längd och ärmlängd kan du enkelt anpassa själv.

Garnval
Mönstret har en stickfasthet på 17 m / 20 v på sticka 5 mm, vilket motsvarar en fingering-tråd (27-28 m/10 cm) + 2 trådar silk mohair, alternativt 1 tråd av Nanna by Permin. Ett annat alternativ är en fingering-tråd + 1 tråd Soft fine från Isager.

Det är inga problem att byta ut garnet så länge stickfastheten bibehålls. Jag rekommenderar att du gör ett stickprov för att se att stickfastheten stämmer. Värt att notera är att lin-material har en tendens att dra ihop sig efter tvätt. Således är det bra att tvätta upp provlappen innan du mäter stickfastheten, om du stickar med ett lingarn.

The Ilse Sweater is a short, straight sweater with saddle shoulders and a funnel neck. It is knitted top-down in stockinette stitch.

First, stitches are cast on for the neck, which is knitted in the round. Then short rows are worked at the back of the neck, and increases are made for the saddle shoulders. The front and back pieces are then knitted separately to create the armholes, after which they are joined, and the body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch. The body is finished with the standard bind-off. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the armholes and knitted in the round. Decreases are made to shape the sleeves, and finally, they are cast off using the standard bind-off.

Choosing size
The Ilse Sweater is designed with a positive ease of 10–15 cm (4–6 inches) in the smaller sizes and 5–15 cm (2–6 inches) in the larger sizes.

The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) correspond to a bust measurement of 80–85 (85–90) 90–95 (95–100) 100–110 (110–120) cm / 31.5–33.5 (33.5–35.5) 35.5–37.5 (37.5–39.5) 39.5–43.5 (43.5–47) inches. Choose your size based on your bust measurement (or where you are widest) and how oversized you want the sweater to be.
The body and sleeve lengths can easily be adjusted according to preference.

Choosing yarn
The pattern has a gauge of 17 stitches / 20 rows on a 5 mm US 8 needles, which corresponds to a fingering-weight yarn (27–28 sts/10 cm) held together with 2 strands of silk mohair (25 g = approx.. 210 m / 230 yds).

Alternatively, 1 strand of Nanna by Permin can be used. Another option is one strand of a fingering-weight yarn held together with one strand of Soft Fine from Isager yarn.

You can substitute the yarn as long as the gauge is maintained. I recommend making a swatch to ensure your gauge matches. It’s worth noting that linen tends to tighten after washing, so it’s a good idea to wash your swatch before measuring the gauge if you’re using a linen yarn.
