About Im_jokki_4

Old-Fashioned Yet Modern:
“I’m Jokki 4” is a classic Aran-patterned vest cardigan featuring the most traditional Aran motifs:
diamond, honeycomb, cable, and moss stitches. The use of relatively thick “I’m Wool 4” recreates
the rustic and textured Aran patterns of the original yarn, evoking a warm and cozy atmosphere.
While it carries a nostalgic charm reminiscent of something our grandparents might have worn,
the unique collar design adds a touch of modern sophistication, ensuring it never feels outdated.

Practicality:
“I’m Jokki 4” is a versatile and easy-to-wear vest cardigan. Its high-neck design makes it
compatible with various outfits, providing both warmth and style. By fastening just one buttonhole
on the collar, you can transform it into an open-collar look for added variation.
Additionally, “I’m Jokki 4” is a design that suits not only women but also men who appreciate
fashion and style.

Knitting Structure:
The back piece, right front, and left front are knitted separately and then joined together.
This is a bottom-up design, starting with the ribbing at the waist, and the button bands are knitted along with the body.
The armhole, neckline shaping, and shoulder slope are created using a stair-free bind-off method, resulting in smooth curves.
The armhole and neckline ribbing are picked up and knitted, with the neckline ribbing extended to form a closure with buttons.

Sizing
For size selection, it is recommended to choose a chest circumference approximately 15 cm
larger than your actual chest measurement.
For a person 160 cm tall, the vest falls between one-third to half of the hip length.
To adjust the length, you can modify the starting point of the pattern to either extend or shorten it.

The sizes 1/2/3/4 are designed to fit a bust circumference of 96/108/118/130cm. The measurements for the finished garment are on the second page of the pattern.

Gauge
How to make a gauge swatch is explained in the pattern.
