I'm not a Snowflake Socks
These colorwork socks call for one 50g skein of self-striping yarn for the main color and one 20-30 g mini each of two contrasting colors for the colorwork bands and heels, cuffs and toes. 20 g should be enough for the contrast colors (each) if you are knitting the S and M sizes, and 30 g of each mini is plenty for the L size.
Knit them exactly like the sample, or switch things up and add/remove portions of the chart, you choose!
There are clear instructions for the afterthought heel, with a few photos to guide you on the steps.
Knit along with the Periscoping Sisters from Thanksgiving 2018 through Christmas and share your progress on Instagram for a chance to win a prize using the hashtag #imnotasnowflakesocks.
Freckled Whimsey custom dyed two colorways just for this pattern, so I hope you were able to take advantage of her beautiful work.
The name was inspired by my search to find a good pattern name that stood out from the standard “snowflake” as there are many many patterns on Ravelry with the term snowflake in the title. Therefore, I decided to say “I’m NOT a Snowflake” just to be silly. Thanks for checking out my pattern!
