Imp &Cocoon
This is a fast and easy project, little sewing involved!
You can attach the cocoons on backpacks or key chains
Make some imps as party gifts or a quick last minute Birthday present!
Imps love to play with my Sprites! (Sprite patterns can be found on my Etsy page.)
You can decide between two different cocoon designs. I call them Cocoon and Quickoon!
What you need:
-Crochet hook 2mm (B) (or 2.5mm/C for thicker yarn.) and a bigger size for the “quickoon”.
-Cotton yarn in your color/style of choice. One color for the imp and another for its cocoon.
(Different types of yarn will make for different sized imps.)
-Acrylic yarn for the hair.
-Tapestry needle to weave the ends.
-6 or 8mm oval safety eyes. (I used 6mm for the imp’s made with slimmer crochet cotton from yarn and
colors/scheepjes but needed 8mm for the imp’s made with ‘I love this cotton’.)
-Little bit of stuffing.
-Scissors.
-(Pet) Comb
-Optional: Key ring for the cocoon.
You can decide on different yarns for the imp and cocoon but be aware;
The thickness of the yarns must be similar otherwise the proportions will be off, and it might not fit.
You’ll need to know how to:
-make a Magic Ring
-work in a round
-single crochet
-increase/decrease
-make
-chain stitch
-slip stitch
If you made an imp using this pattern please share it online and be sure to tag me @fantsysprites.
I’d love to see what you did!
