About the Pattern
The Impasto Socks are my first sock design and second collaboration with Rachel of Zeezee Textiles. The stitch pattern used mimics the raised texture of the impasto technique, commonly found in oil painting. It’s a rhythmic, easy-to-memorize pattern that only uses increases and decreases.

The pattern is written for magic loop, and it includes both toe-up and cuff-down instructions. The socks are designed with a Fleegle heel and feature a contrast toe and 2x1 ribbed cuff. The stitch pattern is both charted and written.
