Imperial Officer Hat
I was inspired by a poster’s request for an Imperial Officer hat pattern and decided to design one. It took me a few tries to work it to my satisfaction, but I am very pleased.
The pattern is comprehensive, including photographs. The body of the hat is worked first and then the flaps and brim are added after. The pattern uses a provisional cast on, decreasing, picking up stitches, and short row shaping. The only stitches used are knit and purl.
NOTE: Some knitters have found the hat to be far too large. Please, please take note of gauge, size and suggestions for making size adjustments. If you need help or more suggestions, feel free to PM me. Thanks!
It is actually a fairly, in my opinion, easy project. It just takes a little more time than your average hat with no extra details. Well worth it if you have a Star Wars fan in your life!
Notes are included about resizing the hat for smaller and larger heads. A note about working top-down is also included. And of course, if you purchase the pattern and have any questions or run into any problems, you can reach me easily here on Ravelry, and I will be more than happy to help!
