The first in the Gemstones collection, the Imperial topaz wrap takes its name from one of the rarest and most gorgeous gemstones, with a flurry of shades, from deep brick red, all the way to bright, light orange.
This Tunisian crochet pattern for beginners features rows of eyelets, separated by rows of simple stitches, reminding of the stacked facets of cushion-cut Imperial topaz gems. It is made from only one cake of yarn, all 1000 meters of it.
Skill level
Beginner – you will learn how to make Tunisian simple stitches, yarn-overs (eyelets) and two Tunisian simple stitches together (decreases). Follow the videos if you are not familiar with these stitches.
Finished size
If you use the recommended yarn, you will get a wrap that is about 170 cm or 67″ in length (not including the tassels) and 40 cm or 16″ in width.
