The Impromptu top is knitted seamlessly from the top down.The back and front are knitted separately down to the armholes. Then the pieces are joined and the body is knitted in the round. The hem and the straps are knitted in twisted ribbing. The armholes are finished with an i-cord edging.
You can choose to work the body in a straight version or a slightly flared version, widened at the hips. The length of the body is easily modified to suit your own body measurements.

Gauge 
24 sts x 34 rows = 10 cm /4 inches of Stockinette stitch in the round on larger needles, after blocking

Needles 
• 3 mm US 3 circular needles for the body and sleeves.
• 2,75 mm US 2 circular needles for ribbing.

Always use the needle size that gives you the right gauge! Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

L’impromptu se tricote du haut vers le bas (top-down) sans couture. On commence par réaliser d’abord le devant puis le dos. Dos et devant sont ensuite réunis sous les emmanchures, le corps est tricoté en circulaire en jersey.
Vous pouvez, au choix, réaliser un corps droit ou de poursuivre les augmentations pour donner à votre projet une forme évasée, plus élargie aux hanches.

Il se termine en réalisant les bretelles, cela vous permettra d’ajuster au mieux leur hauteur. L’ensemble des finitions de l’encolure, du corps et des bretelles se font en côtes torses

C’est un projet agréable, rapide à réaliser. Il sera très facile à adapter à toute vos tenues estivales.
Vous pouvez aisément en imaginer une version uni ou pourquoi jouer avec différentes qualités de fils et pourquoi pas une version plus courte à porter à la taille.
