We have all done this. Innocently walking into our favourite yarn store just to pick up some knitting needles and then what do we see?

Out of the corner of our eye nestled in a sweet wicker basket are some amazing skeins of yarn. Like puppies or kittens all lined up and patiently waiting for someone to take them home.

I call this Impulse because that is how I came upon these amazing yarns.

It is a fun fast and simple knit bandana style cowl, perfect for beginners.

Best part? It only takes one ball of this amazing yarn from Hayfield. (The yarn only looks and feels expensive) I like that part too!

Knit this up in a solid, a speckle or an Ombre for a different look to a simple design that will highlight any yarn choice.
And now a Worsted Version1

There are two sizes to choose from, one just a bit deeper than the other.

Measurements: After gentle blocking: Neck opening on both sizes is 22”/ 56 cm. Smaller cowl from
mid point of long side to tip is 14”/ 36 cm and 3”/ 7.5 cm at back of neck. Larger cowl from mid point of long side to tip is 16”/ 40.5 cm and 4”/ 10 cm at back of neck. (Measurements are approximate).
