A quick project that would make a great last-minute gift. Whether it’s to carry your craft notions, for the kids’ backpack, make-up, or as a clutch… the possibilities are endless. It works up quickly using the crunch stitch, which combines half double crochet (HDC) and slip stitch (SL ST). Great little project for a beginner.
Materials needed:
Crochet Hook Size in G/4.50mm
#4 Worsted Weight Yarn – I used Sugar ‘n Cream in Gray and Ecru… approx. 80 yards each
(3) ¾” – 1” Buttons
12” Zipper
1 Fat Quarter Fabric of your choosing
Sewing thread in color matching zipper
Sewing needle for sewing lining in the bag
Scissors
Stitch marker
Yarn needle for sewing in the ends
Finished Size: 5 3/4” L by 9 1/2” W
This pattern is worked from the bottom up. The base of the bag is worked in the round without joining. The body of the bag has joined rounds with turning after each round. When to join and when to not will be instructed.
All of my patterns have been tested by multiple experienced crocheters.
