This design plays with tesselated shapes in the same way as Fired Earth, but with a completely different pastel, floral theme. Use it as a shoulder wrap, a chair or sofa throw, a cosy lap blanket or a stylish decoration across the end of a bed. Instructions are given for two full-size motifs plus one half-size, along with suggestions for layout and a detailed guide to joining and creating a complementary border for the finishing touch. There are 21 clearly-written pages with round-by-round photographic illustrations and plenty of tips and explanations to help you achieve a pleasing result.

You will need 11 100g balls of Paintbox Simply Aran in 9 different colours; two Champagne White and two Pistachio Green, plus one each of Slate Green, Pine Green, Jewel, Candyfloss Pink, Dusty Rose, Dusty Lilac and Tea Rose. If you would prefer to use DK yarn, there are details of hook sizes and quantities used in this lovely project. (All figures are approximate and depend on your colour distribution. You will have some of the 100g Aran balls left over.)
