In for a Penny TITR
In for a Penny is a rectangular, TITR (Tunisian in the Round) blanket suitable for intermediate/competent beginner Tunisian crocheters. TITR is the best method for colour work and graphics with no yarn carries or stranding. The blanket was designed with 20 unique blocks, 10 graphic and 10 cabled, all with fabulous textures and high visual impact.
The pattern includes complete instructions and phototutorials on how to start a TITR square, stitch cables, read colour coded stitch charts (trust me, much easier than following round by round written instructions). I have included many hints on how to avoid yarn tangles, fix mistakes (it happens) and will guide you to success. I’ve been exploring TITR (Tunisian in the Round) for more than 7 years, created the method for charting designs, completed more than 300 projects and it has been a continuous learning, and refining techniques process. I’ve taught hundreds of ultimately successful students, some beginners to Tunisian crochet, and received rave reviews for well written patterns.
This is a “Stitch it Your Way, One Pattern, Infinite Possibilities” design. You can use your choice of yarn weights, the blanket can be made larger with additional blocks, use only your favourite graphic or cable block(s) for the entire blanket or combine multiple colours for a stashbuster project.
I literally wrote the book on TITR, “Learn Tunisian Crochet in the Round”, published by Annies in 2021 and a supplement in Simply Crochet Issue 118. I am published regularly in Crochet World and Simply Crochet. My designs have won numerous CGOA awards, the first in 2019 and mostly recently in 2023.
You will need interchangeable hooks connected with a cable.
