This new version of this pattern contains charts for a small and a large version of this shawl. I originally designed the large version of the shawl with a border of 7 layers of the leaf pattern. Unfortunately, as I was knitting it, I realized that I did not have enough yarn and could not get more of the fiber to spin more yarn so I changed the pattern to have 4 layers of leaves in the border. All the photographs in this pattern show the small version of the shawl. The yardage and size stated above are for the small version.

IMPORTANT - Please use this version and not the previous version of the pattern as that one has the wrong charts. If you have already started this shawl with the old pattern and have reached Chart 7 only to find it doesn’t work, I am so sorry. Please download the newest version of the pattern and use the Large Version Chart 7 instead. Again, my apologizes.

This shawl is triangular and is knit from the top down with increases on every right-side row, worked at the edges and on each side of the center stitch.

I used a handspun yarn spun from a blend of merino (75%), bombyx silk (10%), tussah silk (10%), and tencel (5%). While The yarn I used was a gradient, a solid or semi-solid would also work well.

Warning - the pattern has not been test knitted by anyone other than myself so there may be errors. Please let me know if you find any and I will post a corrected version. Thanks.
