It is a well written and easy to read pattern which is accessible to the novice lace knitter.

I would suggest an Icelandic bind off as this is very stretchy and makes it very easy to pick up for the crochet edging. The crochet edging is a beautiful accompaniment for the shawl and even a beginner can accomplish this.

I suggest that if you want to you can do either 4 or 5 pattern repeats depending upon your yarnage. Some of the testers did 5 pattern repeats with 400m and had 9grams left at the end. It is entirely up to you the length that you knit this.
