The In the Fast Lane Cowl is worked one color at a time. Slipped stitches are used to create woven garter stitch stripes on a stockinette stitch background.   The solid background can be paired with a single or multiple contrast colors.  Each stripe uses under 8 yards, making it a perfect project for leftover odds and ends.

The pattern is written for sport-weight yarn but can also be worked in worsted weight or DK yarn.

The cowl can be folded along the center ridge to convert it to a narrow accessory with less drape.
