This washcloth uses the same chart as the Stockinette-Stitch Washcloth on page 65, so the yarn amounts are the same. But because this washcloth is worked entirely in garter stitch (all stitches are knitted every row), it will be shorter in length than the stockinette version. This is because, all other things being equal, there are more rows per inch (2.5 cm) in stocki- nette stitch than in garter stitch. If you’d like this washcloth to be the same length as the other, continue working diagonal stripes as established until you reach the desired length.
Be aware that doing so will require more yarn.
