In the Pines Blanket
The In the Pines Blanket is inspired by traditional Norwegian sweaters and features a repeating pine tree motif. This pattern includes smaller motifs and suggestions for increasing the width and length to modify the size of your finished blanket. Like all double-stranded loop yarn designs, this pattern is repeated on the back side of the blanket in inverse colours.
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced.
SUGGESTED MATERIALS: 7 balls of Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Graph It yarn (6.4oz, 180g) (Image shown is the colour ‘Baked Clay/Pink Mist’).
SUGGESTED TOOLS: No needles required (finger knitting). Scissors. (Because the loops of this product are quite small, you may find it easier to use a crochet hook than your fingers. I use a US J10/6 mm hook).
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 43” by 48” (109 cm by 122 cm).
PLEASE NOTE: Bernat Alize Blanket-EZ Graph It yarn is a double-stranded yarn which is manufactured in a way to create double-sided colourwork patterns.
Currently, the only substitute for this yarn is Alize Puffy More yarn. This loop yarn comes in smaller skeins, so you will need approximately 20% more skeins to complete this project as-is. Also, the loops are slightly shorter, so your finished blanket will be slightly shorter.
