In The Sky
This easy yet elegant shawl can be made from a single skein of your favorite lace, sock, or sport weight yarn. It hugs your shoulders -- and won’t slip off -- and falls in graceful folds. Rows of diamonds increase in size and give the shawl its crescent shape. It uses an innovative and simple cast-on, and is knit from the center-top down.
The pattern includes written instructions and charts.
Gauge isn’t critical, and is variable due to the lace and how vigorously you block it. The blue model was made with Cascade 150 Heritage Paint (100 g/ 437 yards) and US size 6 (4.0 mm) circular needles, and is a larger, drapier shawl. The brown model, made with Knit One Crochet Too Crock-O-Dye (100 g / 416 yards) and US size 5 (3.75 mm) circular needles, is a smaller shawl.
