In the top of the Tree
These cute beanies made me think of leaves of ivy climbing up in the top of a tree, meeting in the middle over the crown. They are so nice to wear - gorgeouslly soft and feminine as well as true eye-catchers.
I made up the beanies in two different qualities of wool - and with different gauges.
The brown beanie is worked in an aran weight yarn - where the gauge is 18st to 10cm/4” using st st.
The beanie in pink is worked in a Sport-weight yarn and knits up to a gauge of 24 st to 10cm/4” using st st.
Both hats knits up really fast, working in the round on circular needles. I give you instructions both row-by-row written instructions, as well as a chart for the leave-pattern. The hats are one-sizes, fitting a head-cicumference of approx 51-56cm/20-22”. I give you instructions on how to do to modify the sizes.
I used an aranweight, homespun quality to work the brown beanie, and for the pink one I used a blended alpaca/silk. You can use about any wool you like, as long as you respect the gauge.
