These socks are inspired by the character of Missy from Doctor Who. The pattern takes design elements from the costume she is wearing whilst locked in the vault in series 10.

The design is based around knit 6, purl 2 ribbing embellished with lace and cables. The top of the foot features a floret eyelet pattern taken from the floral pattern on her pussy bow. This evolves into a caramel lace design with a twisting cable on the main part of the leg to reflect the print of curving vines and flowers on her blouse. Missy’s umbrella also features in the shape of the ribbed heel.

The pattern gives instructions for three sizes and the foot length can be varied as required. The socks are knit toe-up and feature a Strong heel with integrated gusset.

Any fingering weight sock yarn may be used. Also requires a stitch marker.
