“In Your Face” is a mostly rectangular, fun shawl in just about any color combination you can imagine. It comes to a point at each end of the shawl that just begged for a tassel. The shawl takes a full skein of fingering weight yarn and 5 minis. The color stripes are done in varying sizes keeping the knitting interesting. There is a small lace detail in the center to break up the stockinette. To keep it from curling, there is a seed stitch border where the color change occurs hiding the carried threads. The sample was knitted using bright, bold colors, hence the name “In Your Face”! This pattern is free during the Central Carolina Yarn Crawl from July 12-16, 2023.
