You may notice an increase in the baseline price; that is because I believe it represents a fair amount of compensation for my time and craft. If you can afford the full price, I am glad; if you cannot, please choose a price you are willing to pay, no questions asked. Tiered pricing works on the honour system and I will never know your financial ability, but I would very much like designing knitting patterns to be sustainable for me. To knit this hat, you will need:
Approximately 270 meters/294 yards aran weight yarn in 2 colours (135 meters/147 yards in a main colour and the same in a contrast, or 270 meters/294 yards in a gradient, knit from both ends of the ball)
5 mm circular needles with a 40 cm/16 inch cable (size 8 US)
5.5 mm circular needles with a 40 cm/16 inch cable (size 9 US) or size to obtain gauge
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle to weave in ends

Gauge:
19 sts = 10 cm/4 inches in stockinette stitch on 5.5 mm needles

Required Skills:
knit, purl, decrease, increase, kitchener stitch
