Inca Tweed Cable Ribbed Vest
This pattern is for a flattering v-neck cardigan vest, knit in a cable ribbed pattern.
Vest is knit in pieces - back and fronts are knit flat, and then seamed at the shoulders and sides. Stitches are picked up around the neckband, and worked in garter stitch. Simple short row shaping creates a slightly shaped shawl collar.
Finished dimensions are 42” chest circumference, and 23” length - from bottom edge to shoulder.
Vest was knit using 6 skeins of Berroco Inca Tweed yarn, a slightly thick and thin light chunky weight yarn.
Needles - size 9 for body, and size 7 for garter stitch trim - 32” for collar / front bands, and 24” for armholes.
Cable ribbed pattern is created using Right Twists - a mini cabling technique that does not require a cable needle.
Because of the stretchy nature of the fabric created, vest will fit a variety of body shapes and sizes.
You can easily adjust by adding length to the body, but be sure to purchase extra yarn if making the vest longer.
Pattern is clearly written out ( no charts ), and includes clearly written reverse shaping instructions for right and left front sections.
