A sock made entirely of twisted, traveling rib??? Inconceivable!

The second in my Princess Bride series, these socks start with a twisted rib cuff after which sections of the ribbing flow in and out. Perhaps this is reminiscent of a goblet, because I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me. Or maybe it’s an hourglass. After all, time ran out for Vizzini! Regardless, not knitting these socks would be a classic blunder, the most famous of which is “never get involved in a land war in Asia.”

This pattern comes in two sizes - Medium (72 sts) and Large (84 sts). Note that the ribbing pulls in quite a bit, so they knit up smaller than you’d expect, but do have a large range of stretch. The pattern calls for a stitch gauge of 9 spi, but you can size the pattern up or down by using thinner/thicker yarn and smaller/larger needles to change gauge.
